Man, today was a long day. I cleaned the house and all that today, then went out all night with tony & craig. It’s 3am, and I am really really really tired — it feels good. I think I’ll sleep like a rock.

I realized something today also … I do *not* voice everything I’m thinking here. not even close … there are a lot of things always on my mind, and quite a few of them are private .. I don’t post much of anything that is personal at all, which kind of sucks, because then I have almost no outlet to vent or relax. I will think about that a litle more … ‘night.

Man, wild-ass party last night. It was insane. We all had a good time. Man, it was crazy. The house is all clean and everything, too =]

On another note, I now have SCSI! The great gods of computing landed me with an Adaptec 2940+ scsi controller a couple scsi hds … including some barracuda 10,000rpm bad boys! They sound like jet turbines. It’s cool as hell.

rand0m stealthily slips around the corner, looking for any signs of life in the house … the stillness is ear splitting … the bedrooms? empty. the bathrooms? empty. the kitchen? empty. the stairs creak wearily as our hero glides downstairs. laundry room? nothing. family room? nothing. he looks out the window and realizes that the owner’s car is gone … that means the people are gone for the weekend.

I had what may very well be the longest elevator ride in my life. Start out on floor one, going to eleven. Three people get on the elevator with me. They are all going to different floors. On each and every floor, 2-11, at least 1 person gets on. On floor 7, the elevator had over 12 people in it. So yea, we’re slowly working our way up, we hit floor 9, 2 people get on, and then we’re heading *down* … not up to 11, but down to 6 again. wtf!!?? I rode that elevator for at least 10 minutes. It was the weirdest thing.

On another note, elevators are just a funny place. It’s almost as bad as the men’s bathroom; no one says *anything*. Everyone either stares at the keys, or at the blinking numbers, or at their shoes. But no one turns their head, no one talks, everyone just stands there, all domicile and defensive. I, on the other hand, look around. Some people are happy. Most people are indifferent. A significant portion are unhappy [they are at work, remember?]. It’s so odd to stand there and just look around and not be afraid of the people standing in the elevator. Makes me wonder if there is the music is mind-controlling and I am oblivious to it for the simple reason that i have lost my mind. Haven’t found it yet. If you happen across it, please let me know.

My truck has not exploded in almost 2 months. I am a happy man. I will go through it this weekend and make sure everything is nice and tight. More about yesterday in a little bit, I’m going on top of the holly sugar building to look at our antennaes.

would that be called a night-cap? [hahahaha] … Anywho, today … weather was ‘bad’ so I didn’t go to work. That was pretty cool; I got to go do other things, like go hang out with craig and janelle @ janelle’s house. Not only did we watch The Matrix, we also got to use her hot tub, which, I might add, is very nice, especially when enjoyed with janelle in a bathing suit. [huge grin]

Then we went to Outback Steakhouse for dinner, and it was obscenely expensive. My checkbook is still hot from the smokin’ check I wrote. It was really fun, but the wait for food was long; I doubt I’ll go there again any time soon.

Went over to Craig’s place w/ him and Tony. We chilled. Then I decided to come home; I am surprised I made it home in one peice — the combonation of horrible white-out snow and a tired me is not a good one. Luckily, I’m here safe and sound. ‘night

Apparently it’s really really really bad weather outside; everything has been closed. I seriously doubt I am going to work today. I know that D11 and UCCS are closed, so a bunch of friends are not doing anything today. /me curls up with warm clothes. Sound off with the comments …

On another note, I bought a black polo shirt last night. I really like it, and I look like a stud in it. I think I will buy more of them soon.

another day, come and gone. my, they seem to do so with such frequency. Had a rather … sobering evening, the details of which I will not divulge. Suffice it to say that I am changing, and not for the better — to put forth a goal of sorts, I have written this nice haiku:

So I’m coming to work today on the interstate, I look over and I see this business man. No, not just any business man — a business man in suit, and more importantly in a mini-van! I wanted to laugh out loud. My personal take? A man in a minivan is a crime against humanity. It was wrong. I wanted to say ‘come with me and buy a SUV or a car … please!’ I thought it rather degrading to see such an obviously high-power individual in a soccer-vehicle.

On another note, my day has gone pretty well; no major screw ups or anything, other than that Jef Ferguson [my boss] may be quiting. Would suck to lose his experience, but hey, no problemo.

I decided that I am going to stay home tonight. Unless someone calls me to go do something, that is ;-] Anywho, I am pretty bored, but I am tired. The tiredness, however, is wearing off rapidly; I want to do something fun that doesn’t take lots of money to do. Yes, that would be acceptable, along with a couple other things [big grin].

I found out that computer books are insane expensive; went to look at some books on perl and php and I can’t believe how much they cost — $24.99 for 200 pages? Give me a break.

My mom is not home, and my dad is at work until midnight. They are going to carlsbad caverns this weekend; I don’t know if I want to go — I need to have my truck’s oil changed and do a couple other things. Plus, I would really like to have the house 100% to myself. That would be nice.

Tonight I was so voracious — I ate a pizza, chili, a tv dinner, popcorn, a sandwhich … I don’t know why. I just ate. A lot. I don’t know if this ‘eating’ thing will be habit forming … next thing you know, I might actually be sleeping 8 hours a night! Speaking of sleep, I’m gonna go read and hit the rack. ‘night

and you might see that absolutely nothing has changed on my site, except that there is now a little ‘comments’ link below. Well, that small insignificant thing points out that my site has been moved off of the NewsPro script and onto my very own, homegrown ASP programming job. All the news is now pulled from a database instead of a text file. It’s pretty sweet. Please comment away!

update: I just realized this change will be a super pain to move off of should I ever decide to. /me reconsiders.
