Don’t have much planned for the day ahead … I have a slight sniffle and an aching for p0ontang. Seriously, ever since that night, I’ve been a goddamn hornball. Oh well … [heads off to south nevada] Aren’t you going to KY, Bastard? Any idea when you’ll be back? Any word on the job? Anything else interesting happening to anyone else? Hrmm … apparently not …

Randal – Another one of those people that I don’t know all that well. Always good for a chat discussion, always trying to bail out my software destroying ass. Someone who I totally disagree with politically but otherwise haven’t found too much ground that wasn’t similar. He also has been mangled by the tines of his relationship. A nearly year long gala that seemed to the casual observer to be nothing more than 364 days of having some bitch’s foot crammed in his mouth to force feed him his pride. A big time tech head that is friendly and naturally ordained to salesmanship. A closer, a people person. All that bullshit that Ben Afflek said in “Bounce”. He’s a goofy bastard, but doesn’t do anything to harm anyone.

He’s also got this hilarious conversation between him and a friend about this chick who’s really loose … extremely funny. Made me laugh till I cried at work tonight 😀

**Update** … Met up today with Janelle for some ice cream. Almost want to say it was a waste of time. I sat there, listening to her talk, which was nice, looking at her fine-ass body, which was nice also, and enjoyed the ice cream. Was anything of *any* value said or done, though? Nope. At least she was thoughtful enough to spare me the agony of hearing about her current boy-toys and her subsequent confusion. Good time, kinda … worthless. Maybe it’s just because it’s fucking wednesday, and wednesdays always suck ass. I just might quit Gateway today, too. Dunno about that, though. another update — just called in ‘sick’ to gateway … a night off — woOoOoOooo … i think i’ll see steve in denver. 964-4504, peepz!

Okay, so I had this whack nightmare last night. Even though Janelle and I aren’t good friends or anything really, this was still oddly disturbing. I had a dream where she was dating this dude [who had a nickname of some sort, but I forgot what], and it turns out that his name is Nathan Brown. I don’t know a Nathan Brown in real life, but in real life, I *DO* know a Pat McDavid, which is exactly what Nathan Brown looked like. So apparently, Nathan [Pat] and Janelle have been dating for a long time and blah blah blah and are getting married. I woke up in a cold sweat wondering “what the fuck is going on!?” weird, huh?

Dirk Hancock, a co-worker @ Gateway, who is also Dirk Kirklin from the KILO radio station, tells me that “whack” is way outdated and that I shouldn’t say it. He said that ‘w3rd’ is okay, though … he gives me a lot of shit for ‘whack’ 😉 He’s a funny guy.

And on one more note, my manager was talking to me about an issue when Craig IMs me and the window pops up. My manager went mostly-ballistic at the fact that I had Java AIM open … dunno what I’ll do about that. Quit? Not a bad idea …

So I got off on friday night and went out to a party, then went home. No biggie. Woke up on saturday sometime in the afternoon … Tony invited me to go out with him and a couple girls and see “Don’t Say A Word” — it was a good movie. Afterwards, I swung by Emily’s place and then Tony and I met up over at the pad. Went out with a bunch of the guys there to Old Chicago, ate, and then snagged some beverages. Went back to the pad and imbibed … and then I ate some cookies. These are not normal cookies … these are Tim’s Extra Special THC-Laced cookies. Anywho, went to the party across the street, which was really bumpin’.

That’s when the real fun happened 😀 It was rockin, and I was mildly inebriated … everything was really cool. Anywho, took about an hour or so, and then the other stuff kicked in. Tony and Tim seemed to disappear, and I was left to my own devices … yup, completely blazed and glazed at a party where I know no one. It was fun as hell. I have new respect for ravers and their lights. It was fucking fantastic. The music was loud, the lights were strobing across the room, the honies were grindin’ … it was crazy. Met some girl, don’t know her name, and we hooked up … it was fun. I don’t know her name, but she has my cell # … I’m not really quite sure about exactly what happened saturday night, to be honest. I really don’t remember a whole lot of specifics. But I can tell you that it was a night I will not soon forget; when I recall it, I just feel … content? warm? pleased? I don’t know; just makes me feel like it was one of those things that sticks with you for the rest of your life. I’ll write a more in-depth thing and post it as an article … but for now … Fucking amazing.

Tim came and got me at 3:30am … I slept on the infamous orange couch and woke up and went to training at Gateway. It was rather eventless … just made my $20.25 per hour by surfing the web and filling out a couple sheets of paper. Quite good. I’m seriously considering getting a motorcycle … yea, not too practical, I know, but it’d be nice just to know how to ride one. On the plate for this week? nada that I know of … maybe ice cream with Janelle if the schedules work. Oh, and maybe seeing Tore this weekend [??]. Great weekend … simply incredible.

So I think I’ll spend some time and just post all about me. First off, I got my truck. That’s cool. It runs really well. No problems thus far [knock on wood, salt over shoulder]. Um … yes, parents are back. Have spent maybe 5 minutes talking to them since they’ve been back. Paid off a $2,000 loan. [woo!]. I hate Gateway — I’ve had meetings because I’m too good of a tech :: my call times are too low for being a newbie, and my teammates all hate me; I am #4 in the *entire* place in call-handle times, with an average of 8:43 per call. If it weren’t for the fat paychecks, I would quit tomorrow. I hate it.

Trying to think of anything else … Happy Birthday Tore … Emily is out camping, Mark is pimpin my site [w3rd!], sold both of the computers below to one Bryce Case [w3rd! again] and other than that, I haven’t done anything. I am always tired and feel continuously worn out … I figured it out, and I put in at least 78 hours of work per week. That’s actual in office, doing things time :: does not include driving, morning-get-ready time or anything else. I’ve been doing this for 7 weeks now, and I already notice the drain. Oh well. Guess I just keep going until I’ve reached my goals.

On that note, the CCNA training & testing has been pushed back 🙁 I honestly don’t have any time to study anything; I am busy for 18 hours a day, every day. Parents want me to go see the aspens turn colors on saturday morning around 8am … on my sleep day!? I don’t see that happening … also, have 9 hours of laptop-support training on Sunday — at $20.25 per hour. I’ll sleep, training will progress, I’ll make some bucks. And that’s what’s going on with me …total death on the social front, pretty good success financially :: I hope this situation works itself out soon.

Yup, today is Tore’s 19th birthday. Well wishes from the randal side — here’s to the past superb 19, and to many more to come. 😀

So I met up with Tony over at the pad last night, where we watched the last … 1/2? 1/3? of Charlie’s Angels and drank spiffy lemonade 😉 Then Tony and I left, and right outside the pad was this phat 93′ Supra … yup … twin turbos, 400+ horsepower, tight sound system … it was really neat — it made me want one badly :-D. Then Tony left … at like 11:15. I did not leave. Paaarty time. Went to 3 separate parties and had a really good time. I’m glad I got out. Good stuff.

Only problem with that? Yea … read the ‘rand0m notes’ to the left there … I pull in around 5am, and guess who’s there? That’s right, my parents! Ugh x 10! Get this … I wake up at 2, a perfectly decent hour for a Sunday, and the first thing my mom tells me is that she wants me to go to church with them. [Massive Sigh] … Bend or break or move out sooner … tough call. Opinions?

Ya know, I almost don’t like weekends. Sure, they are are a great time to sleep. And sleep. And do nothing. And then sleep more. See, it’s that third one right there … I don’t do anything. I would almost rather be at work — at least there I can waste time doing nothing and get paid. Instead, I sit at home and … you got it — do nothing. Makes me feel miserable, because I know that there are lots people out there doing things, but I’m not. And why am I not? Because I chose this. Yup … well, that sums it up. [stops bitching].

I got rid of the login thing, as it’s useless right now. Also, I succumbed and put up an mp3 of the week on the left. A review section for those mp3s should be up sometime. I really should finish putting the whole site together and sell it as a product. Hrmm … takes time, though. Oh, and motivation. Gotta have that. [sigh]

Really played Counter-Strike for the first time last night … must have spent an hour playing. The new box seems to be limited at a constant 72fps … I’m thinking it’s my video card. Although it *never* drops below 72 frames per second. It’s really nice. And I really kick ass at it, too. Played some Quake III Arena, also, but didn’t check the fps … I’m really good at that too. This will not become a habit.

Anything happening tonight? I would look forward to a cold beer and something to do / good company … in fact, I think I might go see a movie 🙂

Okay, so nothing new has happened. Got a small paycheck due to all the offtime last week. And … yup, still at work. However, I did find out that setting up one of those Linksys Cable/DSL Routers are hella easy to setup. Due to me doing that earlier this morning, I have another computer! Jef just dumped it on me, so here’s what I am looking to sell / get rid of:

In other news, we might be getting another room here to house just co-locations … we’ve got a pretty good prospect for a guy to bring in a couple servers, and we’re running out of room. So we’ll move everyone to the new [storage] office … hence, if one of the above boxen doesn’t leave my possession, it’ll turn into a counter-strike server in the co-lo room. nifty.

Dunno about scheduling tonight — I’ll try my damndest to get off early, but no promises. Last weekend sucked :: got off early, and did absolutely nothing because everyone was already gone. But … that’s expected at like 10pm. [sniff]

I’m attending a concert in Denver — give me a ring on my cell phone if you want to talk at me 🙂

**Update**: Just got back from the Matchbox 20 concert. Man, what a good time. I drove myself, emily and her friend michelle up there in the honda. It was prefaced by Train, and let me tell you — their songs may not be the hottest, but the lead guy can really sing. Then up came Matchbox 20, and they were really good. Despite every female in the audience ooh-and-ahh-ing over how uber-hot Rob Thomas is, I really enjoyed it — I knew a lot of the songs [thanks radio!] and sang along and just grooved. Walked out with 4 free condoms because I was there with two girls — Trojan was there handing them out like candy [what an analogy!] … no use for them for me [sniff snif] so they’ll probably end up as trashcan fodder. The concert as a whole was a good time all around. Drove home in an ultra-tired, running-on-less-than-three-hours-of-sleep mode but somehow managed to get the whole trip without incident. I’m really glad I went. It’s good to get out.

So today was a good day [so far]. Finally decided to do some upgrading for my venerable PC with some of the parts I have running around … consequently, I built up a new box and brought back another one :
